PLASTIC FILM CAPACITORS
WIMA. Coupling and decoupling capacitors have a major sonic impact.
Although we could find many super expensive film capacitors making an appreciable difference, the value for money factor was always very low. Not with WIMA components though.

Having 1000-2200V thick film insulation and outstanding pulse performance, the FKP gives a very enhanced sense of space and liquidity right across from deep bass to treble.
The best thing is that we use it as a bypass capacitor and it has the ability to superimpose its quality even over tens of microfarads of main capacitance.
The lack of body and flatness of medium grade polypropylenes seem to vanish when bypassed with an FKP.
Use them every where you can and the improvements are always audible. Anyway our price is dead cheap.
The MKP, MKS series are very good for bypassing power supply caps and have a very good use in crossovers.
The MKP is airy and fast but not bright while the MKS is less liquid but it has a very good use in crossovers where the signals are larger and all caps show less of their signature.
